CondoCPA History
CondoCPA orginated in June of 1990, when Brad Schneider and Jeffrey Cupuro started their CPA firm as Schneider, Cupuro and Associates. The firm originally was a full service CPA firm serving various industries with a focus on community associations and the food service industry. In 2001 Jeffrey Cupuro tragically passed away after a battle with cancer. In 2004 Brad decided to dedicate the firm to exclusively serving the community association industry. Thus, CondoCPA was born. The firm grew from it's approximately 200 community association clients in 2004 to serving over 450 associations as of early 2012. CondoBooks is our gateway to the self managed, professional independent managed or even for some associations that are managed by a management company but prefer to have us handle the day to day accounting activities. We currently handle associations that are as large as approximately 800 units down to associations with only a handful of units. Our services are flexible to meet the needs of most associations. Our services are customized to your needs. Ask us for a proposal, we think you will be pleasantly surprised at the amount of services available and applicable even for a small association.
The central office of our firm is located in the suburbs of Chicago. We also have a satellite office in the Sarasota Florida area as well as one in the Santa Clara area of California. Most of what we do with monthly accounting can be done anywhere in the USA. Our goal is a national presence. If you are not in Illinois, Florida or California, we probably can still serve your community. If you submit a request for a proposal we will get back to you even if you are not in those areas.
While most firms profess to care about quality, the attitude that permeates every level of our firm is that quality comes before monetary gain. Not sometimes or most of the time but all of the time. We are not perfect but when we make a mistake or feel that our service is not at the highest level, the members of the team involved meet and fix it.
Our attitude at the firm is to have fun doing what we do, take breaks and build a team spirit. We are constantly upgrading, educating and cross training to bring you service at the highest level and yet flexible enough so that if one of the persons you deal with are absent for vacation or illness, you won't be inconvenienced.
Technology in the accounting industry has been nothing short of revolutionary. Community association accounting is changing at a rapid pace to make everything more accessible and easier to use. Much of the accounting and management data is already accessible via the internet. With cloud computing only a short step away for most associations, accessibility of the data will be even easier. Printing issues will become a thing of the past. In perhaps only 5 years, paper checks used to pay invoices maybe gone, replaced by electronic transfers.. With the greater accessibility comes a responsibility to safeguard the data so that cyber thieves cannot be successful in harming the Association community. At CondoCPA, we are committed to embracing technology but without sacrificing safety and the confidentiality of your data.
Ask us for a proposal and enjoy some of the technological innovations that will make your life easier.
